Lego Star Wars Character Encylopedia New Edition Review

DK books has revealed the latest in a long line of Lego Star Wars books this time focusing on the characters populating the Lego Star Wars galaxy. As this is the new addition this is updated with characters from the latest sequel trilogy Star Wars films along side the Star Wars: Resistance animated TV series.

This books covers everything from Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace through to Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker and covers more than 200 characters from the Lego Star Wars galaxy and retails for £16.99 but can often be found on special offer at a discounted price.

The official blurb stats:

"Meet more than 200 minifigures from the Lego Star Wars Galaxy!

Discover heroes, villains, aliens and droids in this fully updated character encyclopaedia. Find out fascinating facts about your favourite Lego Star Wars minifigure - including rare and exclusives releases.

A galaxy of minifigures awaits you!"

Exclusive Minifigure:

As with other DK Lego books we of course get an exclusive minfigure, this for most Lego fans is the reason we actually get these books (the books can be good also) and for this book we get an exclusive Darth Maul minifigure based on his appearance from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

We will be reviewing the minifigure separately but overall has some excellent all round detailing and comes with his duel double bladed lightsaber.

The Book:

The book itself features a detailed looked into over 200 minifigures from the Lego Star Wars theme ranging from Luke Skywalker to Captain Rex to Darth Vader to more obscure minifigures for example  Shahan Alama and S1D6-SA-5.

First of all the book features a contents page listing all of the Lego Star Wars characters that you can find in the character encyclopaedia. This book is organised into films rather than minifigure type so you will find yourself finding repeating pages on the same character at different points in the timeline.

Each page of the book features a brief description about the character the minfigure is based on and features a detailed array of information and data files about what sets the character is in for example how many sets the minifigure appears in, year of release and what set they appear in. All images in book are in high definition and give you a fantastic look at the minfigure

Verdict:

Overall this is a fantastic book from the DK Lego range with some great images and facts about the Lego Star Wars Minifugres and of course comes with an excellent minifigure which makes this book a must have just for the minfigure itself. If you are a Star Wars fan or a Lego Star Wars fan then this book is for you.
