Previously on the blog we took a look at our top 10 Lego Marvel minfigures and as you saw there were a couple of Iron Man armours on the list. It was particularly difficult trying to decide what figures should appear on that list anyway without even trying to work out what Iron Man suits should appear on the list (trust me there are so many different Lego Iron Man minfigures). So we have decided to do our very own top 10 Lego Iron Man minfigures, let us know what you think of the list below.
10 - Iron Man Mk 45 - 76029 Iron Man vs Ultron
At the number 10 spot on the list is the Iron Man MK 45 suit seen during the climatic battle of Avengers: Age of Ultron. This figure appeared in the cheapest of the Lego sets based of the Avengers: Age of Ultron line so without a doubt is a must have set together not also because it comes with three Ultron drones as well. This figure is highly detailed featuring a nicely detailed torso and leg print, and I particularly love the dark red shading on the minfigure and a extra level of depth to the minifigure as well.
9 - Iron Man Heartbreaker - 76008 Iron Man vs The Mandarin: Ultimate Showdown
The Iron Man Heartbreaker suit is without a doubt one of most detailed suits that we got during the 2013 release of Iron Man 3. Obviously over the years more detailing suits became available that you will see in our top 10 but for this time it was one of the best Lego Iron Man minfigures to have been released. What stands out with this minfigure is the highly detailed unique and armoured torso.
8 - Iron Man MK 47 - 76083 Beware the Vulture
The Iron Man MK 47 was seen during the events of Spider-Man: Homecoming. This suit is a different variation of the suit that was seen in Captain America: Civil War but this time with metallic silver armour plating on the bottom half of the torso and on the leg print as well and on the hand pieces as well. The Silver print really allows the minfigure to stand out as not many Lego Iron Man minfigures comes with silver print apart from the MK 5 armour and the Silver Centurion.
7 - Scuba Iron Man - 76048 Iron Skull Sub Attack
The Scuba Iron Man suit is based on the Avengers Assemble animated TV series and has a slight appearance during the final act of Iron Man 3. This is a stunning minfigure and is unique in the Lego Iron Man line. Not only is the light green unique to the Iron Man line but features trans orange thrusters and a moulded heavy armour piece with a printed arc reactor piece that makes this suit even bigger than its predecessors and future suits to come. The set might be overlooked in general but this is a standout minfigure from that set.
6 - Space Iron Man - 76049 Avenjet Space Mission
The Iron Man space suit is another unique version of the classic Iron Man suits, not only removing the classis red but also having very little gold print replacing it with a clean white colouring with the odd metallic silver print shinning through. This minfigure is based on the characters appearance in the animated Avengers Assemble TV series and is a shining example of how different the Iron Man suits can really be.
5 - Iron Man MK 1 - 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armours
Rounding out the top 5 is of course the first ever Iron Man suit that Tony Stark created based on his appearance in the first Iron Man film. This figure is completely different from its future versions and features a highly detailed metallic body colour with metal scraps welded together to form the initial suit. The minfigure has a highly detailed torso and let print with even toe print as well which is very rare of Lego Marvel Minfigures. The helmet is also nicely printed but uses the less popular Invincible Iron Man helmet but in my opinion works perfectly for the less advanced suit.
4 - Iron Man Endgame suit - 76131 Avengers Compound Battle
This Iron Man armour is based on the last presumed appearance in the MCU in Avengers: Endgame with Tony Stark making the ultimate sacrifice to defeat Thanos and his forces. This figure is a worthy figure of that moment. The printing on this minifigure are stunning and it looks so advanced from previous iterations of the armour and the pearl gold arm colour really pays homage to the classic Iron Man suit seen in the comics.
3 - Iron Man MK 5 - 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armours
The Iron Man MK 5 suit is based on the suit seen in Iron Man 2 and makes for a great looking minifigure removing the gold armour for silver armour plating which looks great in minifigure form, the figure comes with excellent printing all around including toe print and some excellent use of line detailing on the helmet helping to define its shape.
2 - Silver Centurion - 5002946 polybag
The Silver Centurion armour from Iron Man 3 is without a doubt one of the best Iron Man armours released by Lego and is certainly a highly sort after minifigure for collectors. The minifigure not only contains a nice shoulder pad accessory with a printed arc reactor on the front and printed armour on the back but also a highly detailed torso design with side arm and leg printing which is extremely rare on Lego minifigure in general but is barely seen in the Lego Marvel Superhero line.
1 - Iron Man MK 41 - 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armour
And at the number 1 spot on our list is the Iron Man Mark 41 suit. This was a tough decision especially with all the different Iron Man suits we have gotten over the years but in our opinion this is the best suit to date (a separate top 10 Iron Man suits list will follow). The suit features excellent printing all around with gold fine lines on a black torso, the level of detail really makes this suit stand out with the rest of the Iron Man suits. If you look closely enough there is even small dots added to the armour to get it a more metallic finish. This suit features a clear translucent head piece as it is not currently by piloted by Tony Stark but that doesn't take anything away from the minfigure itself.
