A new theme for 2020 has been revealed called Monkie Kid which seems to be a mix between Lego Ninjago and Chinese / Japanese overall art style. This does seem to be the next big independent Lego original IP and will a big focus for Lego over the next couple of years just like Lego Ninjago, and Lego Nexo Knights to name a couple.
Earlier this week set names and images were officially revealed by an online retail but due to a request by Lego these images had to be taken down and until these images are back up we won't be posting them yet. We do however have set names for the first wave of sets for the Lego Monkie King sets which you can find below:
- 80006 White Dragon Horse Bike - $35
- 80007 Iron Bull Tank - $50
- 80008 Monkie Kid Cloud Jet - $60
- 80009 Pigsy's Food Truck - $70
- 80010 Demon Bull King - $90
- 80011 Red Son's Inferno Truck - $120
- 80012 Monkie King Warrior Mech - $150
- 80013 Monkie Kid's Team Secret HQ - $170
Overall it seems to be a expensive wave of sets, but there normally is cheaper sets in the winter wave of sets which will be winter 2021, but from the set pictures that were leaked there are some exciting and well built sets to come which is exciting for this new wave.
