Lego Star Wars 40268 R3-M2 Polybag Review

Set 40268 R3-M2 was the first in a line of Lego Star Wars polybags that included a exclusive minifigure and a collectors stand to display the minifigure. There are currently five of these collectible polybags in total.

R3-M2 is an Astromech Droid from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with the polybag being released in 2017 as a gift with purchase. The set itself features a highly detailed Astromech and a display stand and contains 21 pieces.

R3-M2:

R3-M2 is a nice looking Astromech Droid as a whole and have has a brown overall colour scheme with a brown printed central unit piece, two plain leg pieces and a rarely seen clear see through dome piece which has some brown and white lined printing all over the dome.

Display Stand:

The display stand itself is a rather simple but effective build. The actual display stand uses a couple of bricks to build the frame of the stand and then uses a modified 1x2 with stud on side brick to allow you to place the name plate onto the stand. Each polybag comes with its on background art and the background art for this set is of the rebellion hanger bay on Yavin 4. The background is held together using Technic pins which just slot into the back of the stand. You can also connect the other polybag display stands together using Technic pins which slot into the side of the display stand.

Overall this is a decent polybag with an exclusive minifigure to add to your ever growing Lego Star Wars collection, but personally isn’t as good as some of the other polybags in the line of sets.

Check out the other polybag reviews coming soon.
