Lego Marvel Superheroes Captain Marvel Minifigure Review

Today we are taking a look at the new 2020 Lego Marvel Superheroes Captain Marvel minifigure. The minfigure is the biggest upgrade on the character that we have gotten so far in Lego minifigure form. The minifigure itself comes in two of the Lego Marvel Superheroes 2020 sets including set 76153 Avengers Helicarrier and set 76152 Wrath of Loki (both versions are exactly the same)

Minifigure:

The minifigure itself is a totally brand new design featuring a new torso and leg design both highly detailed in a much lighter blue colouring compared to her MCU Lego appearance, apart from the logo there is of course so excellent suit detailing that caries onto the legs of the minifigure.

The most impressive part of the minifigure is of course the new duel moulded helmet piece and mohawk piece as well. We have gotten Captain Marvel in a helmet before but that was a printed head piece where as this minifigure comes with its own separate helmet piece. The helmet is excellently moulded with the white eyes being moulded into the red helmet. The mohawk piece fits straight onto the top of the helmet and not only matches her comic appearance but also her appearance in the MCU when she uses her helmet.

The minifigure doesn't include any side print of any arm printing like the new Black Widow minifigure in the new Helicarrier set, but this angle better shows the new helmet piece and how detailed the new mohawk piece is as well.

The minifigure does also include an excellent back torso print which contains the logo onto the back of the minifigure alongside some more detailing of her suit and with a continuation of the belt design which was seen on the front of the minifigure.

If you don't want to display Captain Marvel with her helmet on, you do get the option of using her hair piece as well, which is included in both sets. The hair piece is in the light blonde colour and was used for the Avengers: Infinity War Black Widow minifigure, but personally seems a bit too bright when placed on the minifigure.

If you purchase the new Avengers Helicarrier set you also get a ton of power blast pieces in the trans orange colour which really add a lot to the minfigure overall and looks fantastic when placed all together creating lots of impressive action display poses.

Verdict:

If you are a collector of Lego Marvel minifigures then this of course is a must have minifigure and personally this is the best version of the character that we have gotten so far in Lego form. Here is hoping they tone down the red colour and add the helmet to the MCU version of the character in the future.
