Brick Built Blogs 2020 Yearly Review

What a year 2020 was! with all the lockdowns and extra time on our hands we started this blog to engage with other Lego fans all around the world and to keep you up to date with all the latest rumours and news surrounding the world of Lego.

This post will take a look at what we have managed to achieve over the year since starting the page in March 2020.

These statistics were taken on the 05/01/21 from the blog.

Blog views:

As of the 05/01/21 we have had over 95,800 views on the blog heading towards the big target of 100,000 views. Since starting the blog there was a increase in views mainly down the the rumours and images of the summer 2020 set images and which also peaked again during October / November with official images of the winter sets. We did see a drop over August / September and the start of October but due to starting a new job I wasn't able to post as much as I would of liked.

Overall a great first year (even though the end of our first year will be March 2021) and I look forward to reviewing the figures for this year and to compare how well we are doing.

UPDATE: as of the 11th January we hit our target of 100,000 views. Thank you so much!

Popular Posts:

Here we have the top 8 posts of 2020, with our most popular post being a full list of Lego sets retiring at the end of 2020 which received a massive 16,800 views, followed by the official images of the Lego Creator Expert Police Station with just over 4,000 views and thirdly the official images of the Lego Star Wars 2021 winter sets with just over 2,700 views.

It will be interesting to see what will come of 2021 and what posts will stand out over the year.

Global Views:

One of the interesting aspects of the blog statistics is finding out where in the world the blog is being viewed. Being based in the UK the blog has been most viewed here with over 36,900 views closely followed by the United States with over 35,500 views.

But it is great to see that we are getting views from all over the world, including Australia, Taiwan, Germany, the Philippines and Ireland.

The map below shows the statistic in a world map view which is also interesting to view.

Social Media:

To distribute out articles we are on a couple of social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.

Our Facebook page has now got as of 12/01/21 292 likes and 353followers which is a great achievement for our first year.

And our Instagram account has 87 follows which is a good start for the year.

Overview:

We just wanted to thank everyone over the last year who has viewed our content and joined in the conversation surrounding Lego rumours and releases and it has been great to be a part of the community. We are so close to hitting our goal of 100,000 page views and it will be interesting to see if we can get to 200,000 views by the end of December 2021, but that would not be possible without you guys reading the blog which we are extremely grateful.

If you have any feedback on the blog or what you would like to see more of then please let us know.

Thank you!!
