Lego Marvel Superheroes 76167 Iron Man Armoury

Today we are taking a look at the Lego Marvel Superheroes 76167 Iron Man Armoury set.

The set itself contains 258 pieces, comes with five minifigures including Tony Stark, Prototype Iron Man, Iron Man and 2 x AIM agents and retails for £24.99 here in the UK. The build features an expansion of the Lego Hall of Armour set from the Lego Avengers: Endgame wave of sets along with a small work station and Hot Rod.

Minifigures:

Tony Stark:

This Tony Stark minifigure is based on the new Avengers Video Game and features the common Tony Stark face that we have gotten over the last couple of years but uses the Owen Grady torso and leg design from the Lego Jurassic World theme of sets.

Prototype Iron Man:

The most desirable minifigure from the set is without a doubt the new Prototype Iron Man minifigure. The minifigure is closely based on the Iron Man MK2 armour from the first Iron Man film and has some excellent printing and detailing all over the minifigure that continues onto the back of the minfigure. The silver colour scheme looks fantastic and helps it to stand out compared to the rest of the Iron Man minifigures.

Iron Man:

Every Lego Marvel Avengers set this year (apart from the MCU sets) has included the exact same Iron Man minifigure design and whilst this set does include that same exact minfigure it does mix things up a bit and include the nano tech wing design that was last seen in the Avengers: Infinity War sets which makes for a great looking minifigure. The minifigure does have some excellent printing all over and the brick built wings lings look great even if they do use two stickers to create some extra details.

The minifigure does come with two power blast pieces and a trans blue stand to create the illusion of flight which is a nice addition.

AIM Agents:

The last two minifigures are two AIM agents. Just like the Iron Man minifigure there has been an AIM agent or variant of the AIM agent in every single Lego Marvel Avengers sets, all looking exactly the same with different accessories. The AIM agents are not necessarily my favourite minifigure but they do have some nice torso printing and a nice head design. Both minifigures come with a single blaster.

Iron Man Armoury:

The main build of the set consists of four Suit capsules where you are able to place your collection of Iron Man armours. The design of these capsules is exactly the same as the Iron Man Hall of Armour set which means you are able to put these two sets together to build an even bigger Hall of Armour. This set however does include a small laboratory build with a printed phone piece and a nano scale Iron Man statue as well.

If you turn the set around there is some lovely details of four Iron Man suits and some on screen data detailing which really helps to create the look of Tony's Hall of Armour. Unfortunately these details are stickers but it does add an extra level of details to the set.

Hot Rod:

The first of two side builds is of course Tony Starks Hot Rod which was seen in the Iron Man films. The Hot Rod is a good little build which has nice engine details, stud shooters for exhaust ports and a space for a single minifigure to drive the car. The Hot Rod does include two flame stickers to add some detailing to the car.

Work Station:

The second side build is a small work station which includes a "Tony's Toy" box a nice little reference to Iron Man 2. Sitting on top of the box is a car part (sticker) a red cup and a burger which is a nice little build in itself.

Verdict:

Overall the Lego Marvel Superheroes 76167 Iron Man Armoury is a nice little set and is the perfect add on set if you already have the Iron Man Hall of Armour set from last year. The set does include two exclusive minifigures in the from of Tony Stark and The Prototype Iron Man which will be must have minifigures for Lego Marvel collectors out there.
