Our next top 10 list focuses on The Lego Batman Movie, one of the better Lego movies that have recently been released. This series of sets contain not just some really exciting vehicles and playsets but also an excellent opportunity to collect some obscure Batman characters in Lego form.
10 - 70900 The Joker Balloon Escape - 124 pieces - £11.99
Starting of the top 10 list we have set 70900 The Joker Balloon Escape. This set might be small but it is a cheap way to not only get the Lego Batman minifigure based of his appearance in The Lego Batman Movie and one of the cheaper ways to get The Joker minifigure (apart from his appearance in a polybag). The set itself is fun and colourful with an excellent built balloon jetpack for The Joker to aid in his escape and a small side built with a brick built bomb and a chemical container.
9 - 70904 Clayface Splat Attack - 448 pieces - £29.99
Clayface Splat Attack is a overall fantastic set. Not only doe you get another Batman minifugre (I believe he appears in every Lego Batman Movie set but just with different head prints), you also get Gotham City Mayor and of course a brick built Clayface. The overall build is fantastic using lots of different techniques to build the body of Clayface whilst giving him this appearance of being moulded out of clay. The brick built figure comes with two six stud shooters in his arms which can be swapped out for a giant mallet which fits into Clayface arm.
8 - 70905 The Batmobile - 581 pieces - £54.99
7 - 70908 The Scuttler - 775 pieces - £84.99
At number 7 on the list we have set 70908 The Scuttler. This without a doubt has to be one of the craziest bat style vehicles we have ever seen in brick from. The set itself is styles to like a bat moving around and overall it looks great and unique compared to the usual array of bat vehicles we have come to expect over the years. The set also contains a net launcher on the back of the vehicle which you can use to shoot nets at the villains. The set contains six minifigures including Batman, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordan, Commissioner Gordan, The Joker and Poison Ivy.
6 - 70906 The Joker Notorious Lowrider - 433 pieces - £54.99
The Jokers Notorious Lowrider is without a doubt one of the wackiest and coolest looking cars that Lego has produced over the years. Not only does the lowrider have a wacky colour scheme with the purple body and lime green hood pieces, but also has Zebra printed seats. The vehicle also has a function allowing you to raise up the front or back of the vehicle like an actual lowrider. The set comes with three minifigures including The Joker, Harley Quinn and Batgirl.
5 - 70909 Batcave Break In - 1047 pieces - £109.99
Rounding out the top 5 is set 70909 Batcave Break in with 1047 pieces and retailing for £109.99. This set is the latest in a long line of Batcaves that Lego has released over the years and is definitely one of the better looking Batcaves. The set not just contains a large Bat computer, a small jail and a feature transforming Bruce Wayne into Batman, a Bat boat, and a drivable duck for Penguin but also contains a Bat suit convey belt showing off many different Bat suits that were seen in the film and have become highly collectable. The set features seven minifigures including Batman, Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Penguin and three Bat suits.
4 - 70912 Arkham Asylum - 1628 pieces - £139.99
You can't have a Lego Batman wave without having Arkham Asylum making an appearance and this is a great looking asylum overall with his grey and brows stonework aging the asylum perfectly. When you turn the set around you get a detailed interior with prison cells and police offices as well. The set comes with ten minifigures including Batman, Robin, Barbara Gordan, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Two Face, Catwoman, The Riddler, Poison Ivy and two police officers.
3 - 70916 The Batwing - 1053 pieces - £99.99
Rounding out the top 3 Lego Batman Movie sets is set 70916 The Batwing. This set might just look like a giant flying bat vehicle but what is impressive about this set is when you look at the vehicle from a birds eye view it perfectly represents the famous bat logo in brick form. The set also contains disc shooters and a six stud shooting canon for Harley Quinn (I am sure she approves of this). Unfortunately for £99.99 you only get three minfigures including Batman, Robin and Harley Quinn but the vehicle is worth the price on its own.
2 - 70922 The Joker Manor - 3444 pieces - £249.99
Set 70922 The Joker Manor is an absolutely crazy set. Not only are you getting Wayne Manor as a base layer of the set you get some wacky Joker decorations including a brick built Joker face and giant "HA! HA!" lettering as well. You also get an unofficial Lord of the Rings Sauron Tower in the centre of the build which will impress Lego Lord of the Rings fans. The set also includes roller coaster pieces that go around the manor itself allowing you to place minfigures on the roller coaster so they can ride around the manor. The set comes with ten minfigures including 2 x Batman, 2 x Robin, Alfred, Barbara Gordan, Batgirl, 2 x The Joker and Harley Quinn.
1 - 70917 The Ultimate Batmobile - 1456 pieces - £139.99
At the number 1 spot we of course have set 70917 The Ultimate Batmobile and the second Batmobile released in line with The Lego Batman Movie. The Batmobile design is huge and looks impressive every angle you look at it, but what's great about this Batmobile is the fact that you get four separate vehicles that combine together to form the Batmobile itself, so essentially with this set you are getting five vehicles for the £139.99 price tag. The set comes with eight minifigures including Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Alfred, Polka Dot Man, The Wicked Witch of the west and two flying monkeys.
